Our US Senators are Montana’s voice in the upper chamber of Congress.

WTF is a US Senator?

Our US Senators are Montana’s voice in the upper chamber of Congress. Each State is represented by two senators who serve six year terms. U.S. Senators sit on committees, put forth national legislation, and have the power to confirm presidential appointments. U.S. Senators have the power to vote on laws that impact the whole nation, including us here in Montana!

Do you support taking action to address climate change including a just transition to renewable energy?

    Yes

Do you support CI-128, upholding the right to abortion as currently guaranteed by the Montana State Constitution?

    Yes

What policies would you support at the national level to ensure accessible and affordable housing for young Montanans?

You shouldn’t need to be a millionaire to afford to live in Montana. In addition to the resources I’ve secured to bolster Montana’s housing supply, I will continue to fight to pass my Rural Housing Service Reform Act, which would increase the supply of affordable housing across Montana, and establish a program to help create more manufactured housing through my Preservation and Reinvestment Initiative for Community Enhancement Act.

As Senator, how would you prioritize tribal sovereignty when making decisions for Montanans?

As long as I’m in the Senate, Tribal Nations in Montana will have a partner and a seat at the table. On the Senate Indian Affairs Committee, I’m working to improve public safety, combat the MMIP crisis, bolster health care, and invest in education and infrastructure in Indian Country. I will continue partnering with Tribal leaders to fulfill our trust responsibilities and deliver for Indian Country.
