WTF does the Governor do?
The governor is elected every four years and is responsible for implementing Montana laws, overseeing the operation of Montana’s Executive branch, and appointing the head officials of most Montana state agencies.

Young Montanans are increasingly concerned with the rising costs of property taxes in our state. If elected, what changes to Montana’s current state tax system would you support?
As Governor I will lower the residential property tax rate to prevent the burden falling squarely on homeowners (Gianforte raised taxes by failing to do this). I will also make sure the wealthy and corporations pay their fair share. I do not support a statewide sales tax, which is regressive. I strongly believe in robust public investment in public education, public infrastructure, public lands, health care and community safety.
The number of Montanans’ that are unhoused continues to rise. If elected, how would you address the housing crisis across our State?
By putting billionaires and millionaires who buy up homes in Montana on the hook for ensuring that Montana’s community servants—law enforcement officers, teachers and nurses—as well as students and young people—have an opportunity to live in safe, affordable homes in the communities they serve. I support housing credits for families and individuals in need, and I support smarter planning and growth in and around Montana communities.

We should reduce and eliminate taxes wherever possible, especially residential property taxes.

We should increase the supply of housing by eliminating the regulations that discourage new housing construction.
