WTF is an Attorney General?
The Attorney General is Montana’s chief legal officer, chief law enforcement officer, & director of the Montana Department of Justice. It’s a really important position — our Attorney General defends Montana’s laws to the federal government, as well as to other states. The Attorney General can also issue formal opinions for the state that holds the weight of law, so they can impact the state’s court system pretty heavily! If you care about justice being served fairly, pay attention to this race!

If elected, what steps would your office take to combat the ongoing crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous People?
I will step up efforts to fund law enforcement in Lake County according to the provisions of Public Law 280. Statewide I will increase collaboration and funding for work with Tribal Nations to coordinate investigations and prosecutions.
How will you uphold Montanan’s rights to a clean and healthful environment and ensure that all young Montanans have the same access to the outdoors as past generations?
As Attorney General and a member of the Montana State Land Board, I will work to protect and increase access to public lands and waterways. I will uphold the rights afforded all Montanans in the 1972 Montana State Constitution, including the right to a clean and healthful environment.
